Weekly Visitation

Behind the old temple, past a forgotten shrine, and amidst several sakura trees, a small, quiet graveyard sat out of the way of the rest of the village. The wind on that day was gentle, pressing lightly on the blooming petals of the cherry blossoms. The wind ripped some free, and they floated on a steam of wind as they tumbled to earth. The tiny blossom petal fell like a pink snowflake until it came to rest on a thin, granite grave marker. Upon the marker was the name "Aros, Daniel." There was a shadow cast over the grave as a lone man looked down on it, his green eyes gazing not at the marker, but past it as they were in deep and longing thought. The man was Solomon Aros, a local samurai. Once a week he would visit this particular grave and pay his respects to it's occupant. He would then finalize the ritual by going to the tea house and having a rice cake and a cup of saki. Rice cakes were his father's favorite, and he couldn't walk into the tea shop without having a glass of the saki. Solomon closed his eyes in final respect and then turned, the wind catching his tan jacket, revealing the twin katana at his hip. He walked towards the temple with his destination in mind. However, when he reached the archway before the exit, he was stopped by the old priest, Teiju Naho. Solomon bowed and looked up to the tender of the aging temple. The priest smiled and stepped out of Sol's way. He was quite aware of his weekly ritual. The blue haired samurai nodded and walked out the archway, onto the path leading up to the temple.

Walking through the busy streets, Misaki had thought about stopping by the tea shop to grab something warm to eat. Sliding the door open to the tea shop, she would step through and watch as all eyes drifted her way. Smiling as usual she would offer a polite wave. Her eyes would lurk around the room, deciding on the back table she headed that way. Her honey brown eyes drifting from person to person until she approached the end table. Misaki would slide into the seat, awaiting an waitress to take her order. She had heard some unfriendly conversation between 4 men. Though she kept her eyes down on the table, Misaki listened to everything they said.

If these men had continued to stay here, something bad was sure to happen. Bitting her lower lip, her ears caught something that caused her fists to shake."Kill all the men, but take the women and children..."One man said, grinning at the simple thought. She felt her stomach churn and her body burn in anger. Suddenly, she was snapped back into reality by the soft sound of a females voice."What can I get you..."She asked, Misaki would reply."Tea please..." When the woman left, her eyes drifted to the men at the table. Her eyes catching the much more muscular man. For a moment they would stare at each other with intensity.
